The Sankt Valentin train station is a through station and an important railway junction in Lower Austria . The Donauuferbahn and the Rudolfsbahn end in Sankt Valentin , and it is also on the Western Railway .

In the station hall there is an ÖBB travel center with a counter , two ticket machines, a telephone and a tobacco shop, with an entrance in the station and one from Westbahnstrasse. One of the two ticket machines is in the underpass.

There is a waiting room and a snack bar along the first platform.

The station has a free Park & ​​Ride car park opposite the reception building on Kohlenplatzstraße. Any rail replacement services also start from there .

There are post bus stops at the station forecourt.

Track plan

There are seven through tracks (tracks 1-7) and two butt tracks (tracks 11 and 12). There are two through tracks between platforms 1 and 2, which are intended for all non-stopping trains.

Railjet trains in the direction of Salzburg always stop on platform 1, in the direction of Vienna they always stop on platform 2.

Platforms 3–7 are intended for regional trains to Linz or Amstetten and for trains on the S 1 line to Linz or Steyr / Garsten , with platforms 6 and 7 only being used very rarely.

The platforms can be reached through an underpass. Every platform (except 1, 11 and 12) has an elevator, a staircase and a barrier-free path. All platforms are covered.

There is a waiting room and passenger information on every platform.

Between 1998 and 2002 the station was rebuilt and made barrier-free. The new hall, a two-story steel composite structure, was connected to the existing station building. The forecourt was also redesigned.
