The Wissous station located in the French commune of Wissous in the department of Essonne in the region Ile-de-France . The station at Chemin de Fresnes was built for the strategic connection between Palaiseau and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges , the Ligne de la grande ceinture de Paris , and opened on October 18, 1886.

The two-storey station building made of brick and limestone, which was built in 1893/94, was sold to private individuals after a long period of vacancy.

During the German occupation of France in World War II , political prisoners who had previously been held in Fresnes prison were deported to German concentration camps from the Wissous train station .
