The Mittelsteine railway power station was a thermal power station built between 1912 and 1914 in Mittelsteine (today Ścinawka Średnia , Poland ) to generate railway power . From 1914 to 1945 it supplied the Silesian network with single-phase alternating current 15 kV, 16 2/3 Hz.

The Mittelsteine power plant was heated with low-quality hard coal from the Neuroder district , and the water from the stones was used to cool the turbines . After an expansion at the end of the 1920s, the power plant had an electrical output of 32.4 MW, of which 24 MW was traction current. The energy generated by the Mittelsteine power station was conducted via an 80 kV traction current transmission line with two systems to the Niedersalzbrunn substation and on to the other substations.
In 1945 the power station was dismantled by the Soviet occupying forces for reparations .
From 1948 the reconstruction of the power plant began as Elektrownia Skałeczno . In 1952 the new Elektrownia Wrocław was built, two of the dismantled old turbine groups from Wrocław were moved to Ścinawka Średnia. The power plant was shut down around 1963.
In the 1960s, the PKP was re-electrified with a DC voltage of 3 kV. Since the energy required for this is obtained from the public grid via rectifier substations, it was not necessary to reactivate the power plant.
In 1978 the ZETKAMA iron foundry moved its production facility from Kłodzko to the former power station in Ścinawka Średnia. In 2001 the area was transformed into a technology park by ZETKAMA.
