The Chorzów Batory – Ruda Kochłowice railway is a freight line in the Upper Silesian industrial area of the Silesian Voivodeship .

Course and condition

Line 164 begins at Chorzów Batory station (km 0.010), the beginning of the Chorzów – Tczew line is on the Katowice – Legnica line and runs to the southwest via the Hajduki junction (km 2.820) to Ruda Kochłowice on the Katowice Ligota – Gliwice line , is single-track, electrified and can be traveled at thirty to forty kilometers per hour.

Line 651 begins at the Radoszowy junction on the Katowice Ligota – Gliwice railway line and runs northwest via the Hajduki junction (km 1.443) to the Gottwald junction on the Katowice – Legnica railway line , is single-track, electrified and can be traveled at 30 kilometers per hour.

history

The two lines were opened for freight traffic on June 1, 1924 by the Polish State Railways . Route 164 has been electrified since May 27, 1970, route 651 since May 30, 1970.
