Port railway

The Stuttgart-Untertürkheim – Stuttgart-Hafen railway is a freight line in the Stuttgart districts of Untertürkheim and Obertürkheim . The 2.1 km long, standard-gauge , single-track and electrified line is operated by DB Netz AG and connects the Stuttgart-Untertürkheim train station with the Stuttgart port , where a freight station of the same name is located. It creates the connection between the Stuttgart port railway and the Stuttgart Hafen – Stuttgart Ost railway line and the rest of the German rail network. The line went into operation in 1958 together with the port railway.

The port relay interlocking that controls the route is to be incorporated into a digital interlocking .
