Zhunge – Shuozhou Railway

The Zhunge – Shuozhou railway is a railway line in the People's Republic of China . It is used exclusively for freight traffic .

Geographical location

Zhunge lies in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia in the People's Republic of China , Shuozhou in the province of Shanxi .

history

The construction of the line was co-financed by the Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal Company , which also runs several other similar projects. The line went into operation on January 2, 2019.

Technical specifications

The route is single-track and 205 km long. The cost of construction was 12 billion renminbi (1.6 billion euros ).

The route is only used to transport hard coal . 60 million tonnes are to be transported annually .
