The Jung-Gar banner ( Chinese 准格尔旗 , Pinyin Zhǔngé'ěr Qí ; Mongolian ᠵᠡᠭᠦᠨᠭᠠᠷ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Jegünɣar qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture -level city of Ordos in the southwest of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north-central part of the People's Republic of China .

It has an area of 7,535 km² and has a population of 270,000 (2004). Its main town is the large community Xuejiawan (薛家湾镇).

In Zhǔngé, the Zhunge – Shuozhou railway line , built only for the transport of coal, begins .
