The Hanggin banner ( Chinese 杭锦旗 , Pinyin Hángjǐn Qí ; Mongolian ᠬᠠᠩᠭᠢᠨ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Qaŋɣin qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture-level city of Ordos in the southwest of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regionin the north-central part of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 18,903 km² and has 130,000 inhabitants (2004). Its main town is the large community of Xin (锡尼镇).
