Railway keeper's house at Schönebecker Strasse
The Bahnwärterhaus Schönebecker Straße is a listed railway keeper's house in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located west of Schönebecker Straße directly at the northern entrance to the Buckau district in Magdeburg . The Gruson greenhouses are across the street .
Architecture and history
The small building is unplastered and made of red bricks. The cubature is almost cube-shaped, but the building is covered with a clearly protruding hipped roof . There is a small extension on the north side. The barrier system also belongs to the monument, but only remains have been preserved.
The railway line was shut down at the end of the 20th century. The gatekeeper’s house has been empty since then and is in need of renovation. Currently (as of 2019) it is almost completely overgrown by vegetation.
In the local register of monuments , the railway keeper's house is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 76862 .
The house is part of the track system along the Schleinufer with the neighborhood to the former Elbe railway station to the north as an important testimony to the railway history of Magdeburg and is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.
