Scheibelalm
The Scheibelalm is an alpine pasture in Hohentauern with an associated alpine hut , which is under monument protection ( list entry ). It is operated as a snack station.

The Scheibelsee and the Edelrautehütte at 1725 m are a 20-minute walk away . ü. A. to achieve. The Große Bösenstein - the one with 2448 m. ü. A. the highest mountain in the Murtal district - can be reached in two more hours and the Großer Hengst in one and a half hours.
The Edelrautehütte is passable (via a toll road). The road is given on the Denzel Alpine Road scale with a value of 2–3.

The Alm is managed from the beginning of June to mid-September - at least until 2009 by Margaretha Krenn-Hallinger from Dietmannsdorf near Trieben . Be kept cows and Galt cattle ; offered butter , Styrian cheese ( "Murtaler Steirerkas") Roggene donuts and Almkaffee . On the Alm large grow stone pine (pine) and larch (with a circumference of up to four meters).
