The Regional Media Austria AG , shortly RMA is an Austrian media companies , the free in all districts of Austria newspapers produced with local and regional content and beyond regional online portals operates.

Reach, circulation and online access

According to the Austrian Media Analysis (MA), the local weekly newspapers under the umbrella of the RMA reach 3.510 million readers across Austria, which corresponds to a national reach of 46.8%.

The Austrian Edition Control (ÖAK) shows the RMA together with cooperation partners a widespread circulation of 3,345,047 copies (of which 7,985 ePaper copies) for the second half of 2019.

The Austrian web analysis ÖWA Plus certifies the individual offer of Regionalmedien Austria mein district.at 33.6% reach, which corresponds to a monthly average of 2.212 million unique users .

history

RMA was founded in 2009 as a 50/50 joint venture between Styria Media Group AG and Moser Holding AG.

In 2005, a PR cooperation was concluded with TIWAG for "editorial reporting on new power plants", which was billed through advertising prices.

Georg Doppelhofer and Gerhard Fontan have been the board of Regionalmedien Austria AG since March 2017 .

structure

The RMA group consists of RMA AG and the individual federal state companies. Throughout Austria, the RMA has 88 branches and around 800 employees are rooted in the regions . Editing and sales are built on three pillars: locally in every district , regionally in every federal state and nationally throughout Austria. Because of this structure ads can be booked and at district, state- and national level mutates be what Austria's lead to geooptimierten booking options.

Business model

The newspapers under the umbrella of the RMA are free of charge and are delivered “to one household” throughout Austria. The newspapers are financed exclusively through advertising revenues. The turnover of Regionalmedien Austria AG for 2018 amounts to EUR 95.0 million, the 2018 result before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization is EUR 12.2 million.

Editorial concept

The editorial offices of the media united under the umbrella of the RMA are independent . The regional weekly newspapers and online portals of the RMA deliver local news from the immediate environment of the readers. In addition, reports are provided on topics relevant to the federal state and Austria - with the aim of establishing links with the regions.

Special sections for the central reader interests of “Health”, “Motor & Mobility”, “Business & Career” and “Building & Living” appear regularly.

Regionalmedien Austria is digitally pursuing the strategy of user-generated content on my district.at . Registered users can use the regional online portal as reader reporters , known as “Regionauts”, to offer and consume local and regional information.

Regionalmedien Austria AG unites the brands bz-Wiener Bezirkszeitung , Bezirksblätter Burgenland , Lower Austria , Salzburg and Tyrol , my WOCHE Carinthia and Styria , Carinthian regional media and Grazer under one roof . The cooperation partners Bezirksrundschau Oberösterreich and regional newspapers Vorarlberg complete the Austria-wide offer.
