The Edelrautehütte is an alpine club hut of the Alpine Club Austria section of the PES in the Rottenmanner Tauern in Styria . It is located on a moraine hill on the bank of the small Scheiblsee near the Scheiblalm at 1725  m above sea level. A. Height. It was built in 1925 and 1926 as the successor to the Edelrauthütte located in the Italian part of the Zillertal Alps and expropriated after the First World War .

The hut can be reached via a toll road from the village of Hohentauern . It is an important base on the Central Alpine Trail , an Austrian long-distance hiking trail from Hainburg an der Donau to Feldkirch .
