The Bakwé (ISO 639-3: bjw) is a Krusprache that a total of 10,300 people in the region Bas-Sassandra in the departments of Sassandra , Soubre and San-Pédro in the Ivory Coast is spoken.

It is very similar to the Godié [god] language and belongs to the Niger-Congo language family . Bakwé has different dialects: defa, deple, dafa, nigagba and nyinagbi. Together with the language Wane [hwa] it forms the group Bakwé within the group of the eastern Krus languages.
