Baldwin Peak

The Baldwin Peak is a 2,100  m high mountain in Graham Land to the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It looms between the Lilienthal Glacier in the north and Mount Berry in the south.

Aerial photographs were taken during the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (FIDASE, 1956–1957), which the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey used for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain after the American aviation pioneer Thomas Scott Baldwin (1860-1923), who developed a valve to control the flight of parachutes .
