Balkanika Music TV
Balkanika Music Television ( Cyrillic Балканика ) is a Bulgarian 24-hour music channel that can also be received via the Eutelsat W2 satellite throughout Europe , as well as in the USA and Canada .
The station is owned by the Bulgarian music broadcaster FEN TV Ltd. ( Bulgarian ФЕН ТВ ) based in Sofia and, in contrast to MTV Adria , broadcasts music videos from all Southeast European countries and Turkey. That makes it a unique channel that represents the culture of the entire region.
On August 25, 2005 the program from Sofia went on air. The music broadcaster aims to collect the wealth of music on the Balkan Peninsula and to broadcast it after selection.
The broadcast productions are reserved for musicians from the region and are aimed at young adults in the cities. The musical genre of the productions varies from ethnic , pop and rock to the turbo folk popular in the region .
