The Ballance Peak is the highest summit of the Allan Hills in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the southern end of the mountain range.
It was explored in 1964 by a team from the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program . It is named after Peter Frederick Ballance (* 1936), geologist of this team.
