Jittering

Jitters is a former, at all (now Lawa) situated place in the county Friedland (now Prawdinsk ) in the Duchy of Prussia . The place was a manor district , which had 31 inhabitants in 1910; At the same time, Bammeln Friedland served as a north-eastern Vorwerk . In 1945 the place ceased to exist. Today only foundations can be made out in the Lawa loop, which are largely overgrown.

Johannes Bretke , one of the first known early authors to write in Lithuanian , was born here in 1536. He translated the Bible into Lithuanian.
