Baník Ratíškovice is a Czech football club from Ratíškovice in South Moravia . The club played from 1999 to 2002 in the 2nd Czech division . In the 1999/00 season Baník Ratíškovice reached the final of the Czech Cup .
Club history
Baník Ratíškovice was founded in 1930 as DSK Ratíškovice. The club first drew national attention in 1955, when the juniors became Czechoslovak champions. This generation was promoted to the 2nd division in 1960, but as the third from bottom of Group B, the team had to relegate immediately. The recovery succeeded in 1963, but the team rose from bottom of the table with only two wins this season.
In the 1998/99 season Baník Ratíškovice rose to the second Czech league and immediately reached third place.
The following game year 1999/00 was the most successful in the club's history. In addition to third place in the second division, Ratíškovice came to the final of the Czech Cup . In the third round, the team defeated the first division club FK Drnovice , in the second round Chmel Blšany . In the quarter-finals Ratíškovice won 2-1 at Viktoria Pilsen , in the semi-finals the second division beat FC Vítkovice 3-0 . The final took place on May 3, 2000 in the Evžena Rošického stadium, Baník Ratíškovice lost to Slovan Liberec with 1: 2.
After that, the club went downhill rapidly. After relegation from the 2nd league 2001/02 Ratíškovice announced only in the Divize. But even in the fourth highest division it was not enough for relegation. Since the 2003/04 season, the team has played continuously in the Přebor (Jihomoravský kraj), the fifth-highest division.
