Bana is both a municipality ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the Boucle du Mouhoun region and the province of Balé . In 2006 the community had 13,000 inhabitants in nine villages, the majority in Marka-Dafing . The village was founded by Moolé Konaté.
