The Bangka snakehead fish ( Channa bankanensis ) is a small snakehead fish that is found in the western Malay Archipelago on the islands of Sumatra , Borneo and Bangka , as well as on the Malay Peninsula .

Two morphs are known of the Bangka snakehead fish , a small one that does not grow longer than 20 cm and a larger one that can reach a length of up to 35 cm and has a darker body color than the small one.
