Bank of America Plaza is the name of a skyscraper in Los Angeles . The construction of the 55-story skyscraper was completed in 1974 as the headquarters of the Security Pacific Bank and is the sixth tallest building in the city with a height of 224 meters. For legal reasons, there is a helicopter landing pad on the roof.

The building bore the logo of Security Pacific Bank until it was taken over by Bank of America in 1992 , after which the logo of the oil company and tenant ARCO was attached to the roof. Since 2004, the building has borne the logo of the owner Bank of America. According to Brookfield Asset Management , the building was 93% used in 2015.

The facade of the Bank of America Plaza is made of light gray Spanish granite and, together with the windows, forms a striking pattern of vertical lines. The tower itself is turned by 45 ° to the street on a 17,000 m 2 property, which includes a unique garden with over 200 trees and 7 meter high waterfalls. In front of the main entrance is the 13 meter high sculpture “Four Arches” by the artist Alexander Calder . There are 9 floors underground, which among other things serve as an underground car park. In addition, in the event of a disaster, for example an earthquake, the building should be able to support itself for 10 days without outside help.
