Barbara Frei-Spreiter

Barbara Frei-Spreiter (* 1970 in Männedorf ) is a Swiss manager and board member . She is the European boss at Schneider Electric .

Career

She studied and did her doctorate at ETH Zurich as the only woman on her degree in mechanical engineering . She also holds an MBA from the IMD Lausanne institute . From 1998, she held managerial positions at ABB for 18 years . Among other things as country manager in the Czech Republic and Italy. She has been a board member at Swisscom since 2012 and of the Swiss real estate developer SPS since 2018 . Even the largest asset manager in the world, Blackrock, supported her candidate at SPS in the years of struggle for more diversity in the top strategy committees of the corporate world.

Barbara Frei-Spreiter is married and has a son and a daughter.
