Barbara Lippens

Barbara Lippens (* 1964 ) is a former Belgian and later Spanish table tennis player . In the 1980s she was Belgian champion several times and took part in three world championships .

Career

Barbara Lippens is a defender. She won several titles at the Belgian national championships, about 1981 in singles and doubles and 1982 in singles. In the early 1980s she played in Germany at the Bundesliga club Post SV Düsseldorf and in 1981 she joined TSV Kronshagen , with whom she became German champion in 1983. In 1983 she moved to ATSV Saarbrücken and in 1984 to Reinickendorfer Füchsen in the 2nd Bundesliga North, where she was involved in promotion to the 1st Bundesliga.

In 1981 and 1983 Barbara Lippens started at the World Championships for Belgium, and from 1978 to 1984 she took part in four European Championships . In January 1984 she was ranked 20th in Europe.

Due to differences with the Belgian table tennis association, she moved to Seville in 1986 and from then on played under the Spanish flag, including at the 1987 World Cup and the 1988 European Championship .
