The Post SV Dusseldorf is a Düsseldorf sports club . According to its own information, it is one of the "largest and most successful sports clubs in Düsseldorf". He offers several sports.

Table tennis

The table tennis department was founded in 1949. Heinz Schmidt had been a department manager since 1951. The women's team was known. When the neighboring club TTC Schwarz-Weiß Düsseldorf (regional league) dissolved in 1963, several players switched to Post SV. The team then rose to the league in 1964 , which was the highest German division at the time, and took third place in the German championship in 1971. In 1972 the club was part of the founding of the women's Bundesliga . The framework of the team at that time was formed by Diane Schöler , Marianne Blasberg, Gloria Sayer (England), Erika Nolte, Gisela Fuchs, Roswitha Marx, Christa Hülser and Christa Müller. After two relegation and promotion, the top players left the club in 1984, which then withdrew the team to the fourth-highest division. Today (2018) there is no table tennis department anymore.

Other well-known players were Jutta von Diecken, Linda Howard , Birgit Lehr , Ruth Richter-Deutz (wife of Hanno Deutz ), Rosemarie Seidler and Gudrun Richter-Wosik (wife of Ralf Wosik ).

Sport shooting

In sport shooting, the rifle marksman Jessica Mager , 2010 world champion as well as indoor European champion and 2012 Olympic participant in London , belongs to the club.
