The Schwarzwald-Nordrandweg is a 55 km long hiking trail in three stages from Mühlacker to Karlsruhe-Durlach .
history
The northernmost crossing path of the Black Forest Association has existed since 1980. In May 2006 it was reopened with a changed route and continuous path markings. Before that, he followed the access routes and the west route via the Schwanner Warte .
Brief description
From the starting point in Mühlacker , the route leads via Öschelbronn and Eutingen an der Enz to the northern outskirts of Pforzheim . Past the Wallberg, the route continues through a varied, open landscape to Ellmendingen , Dietenhausen and Langensteinbach . The end point Karlsruhe-Durlach is reached via Thomashof and Turmberg .

Directions
First of all, the Nordrandweg follows the Gäurandweg over the Löffelstelz ruins to the south and the Eppinger-Linien-Weg to Öschelbronn. After the Waldschanz with a replica of a Chartaque , the Autobahn 8 is crossed. The path leads down into the Enz Valley to Eutingen and on the opposite side back up to the Wartberg. Pforzheim is reached on a scenic high path.
Second stage: Pforzheim - Langensteinbach

Directions
From Pforzheim the path leads over the Wilferdinger Höhe below the Wallberg. Then the path follows the open landscape through the vineyards from Dietlingen towards Ellmendingen. The Pfinztal is crossed at the Dietenhauser mill . Along orchards and through the forest, the path reaches Langensteinbach.
Third stage: Langensteinbach - Karlsruhe-Durlach

Directions
One kilometer south-west of the town hall on the outskirts is the Barbara Chapel (Langensteinbach) and Langensteinbach Castle . From the town hall of Langensteinbach the route leads in the direction of the Autobahn 8 , which is crossed under Karlsbad . Past Stupferich it goes over Thomashof and Rittnerthof to the Turmberg. From there, the Karlsruhe-Durlach destination is already visible, which is reached after a steep descent. The route marking ends in Durlach at the final stop of the tram .
