The Kandelhöhenweg is a multi-day hiking route through the Black Forest from Oberkirch to Freiburg . The 112-kilometer hiking trail was laid out in 1935 and has been maintained and looked after by the Black Forest Association ever since .

Brief description

The Kandelhöhenweg leads from the Renchtal from Oberkirch over the Mooskopf into the Kinzig valley to Gengenbach . Then he crosses the Elz Valley near Waldkirch . After the difficult ascent to the Kandel , the route then runs via St. Peter to Freiburg .
