Eutingen an der Enz is a district of the city of Pforzheim in Baden-Württemberg .
history
Eutingen is mentioned for the first time as "Utingen" in a property register of the Reichenbach monastery from 1143. In 1279 the place is owned by the von Roßwag family and the place was sold to two wealthy Pforzheim private individuals (Einhart and Günther Imhof). After their death, the owners changed frequently. Over time, Eutingen gradually became the property of the Dominican convent Maria Magdalena. After the women's monastery was dissolved in the second half of the 16th century, Eutingen became part of Baden .
The originally independent community was incorporated into the city of Pforzheim on September 20, 1975. With 7,817 inhabitants, Eutingen is the largest district of Pforzheim. It lies on the Enz , a tributary of the Neckar . The Mäuerach residential area south of it belongs to Eutingen .
