Barbara Matera (born December 9, 1981 in Foggia ) is an Italian presenter and politician .

Life

Barbara Matera was a program spokesperson for Rai Uno between 2003 and 2007 . She also played in several TV series and took part in the Miss Italia election.

In the European elections in 2009 she stood for the Italian party Popolo della Libertà and won a seat in the European Parliament . It was put on the list as a proposal by the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi . In Parliament, she is a member of the Budget Committee and the delegation of the EU - Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee .
