BarlowGirl was a Christian rock band from Chicago , Illinois, consisting of three sisters, Alyssa, Becca and Lauren Barlow. Before the three musicians functioned as their own band, they were active as background musicians for their father Vince. Since October 14, 2003, the girl band was under contract with the Christian independent label Fervent Records .

The band has been nominated for the GMA Dove Award several times since 2005 . Her albums Another Journal Entry (2005) and How Can We Be Silent (2007) were in the US charts .

The sisters announced in October 2012 that they would break up the band. On October 29, 2012 they gave one last online appearance, where they also played their most recently composed song Hope Will Lead Us On .
