The 3rd Earl was raised to Baron Clanbrassil , of Hyde Hall in the County of Hertford and Dundalk in the County of Louth , in Peerage of the United Kingdom on 1821 . This title, unlike the other titles, was associated with a seat in the British House of Lords . The barony of Clanbrassil expired in 1897 when the 5th Earl died.
