Baron Mountevans , of Chelsea in the County of London , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on November 13, 1945 by Letters patent for the Antarctic explorer and Admiral of the Royal Navy Sir Edward Evans . He had supported Robert Falcon Scott on his tragic Terra Nova expedition , among others .

Today's title holder has been his grandson Jeffrey Evans as the 4th Baron since 2014 .
