Baron Vestey

Baron Vestey , of Kingswood in the County of Surrey , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The barons' family home is Stowell Park Estate in Northleach in the Cotswolds , Gloucestershire .

Award

The title was created on June 20, 1922 for the entrepreneur and shipowner Sir William Vestey, 1st Baronet . This had come to prosperity from overseas cattle ranching and the import of beef into the United Kingdom. On June 21, 1913, he had already been awarded the subordinate title of Baronet , of Bessemer House. The Blue Star Line in particular belonged to the Vestey Group .
