The Barrel Point is a cape of King George Iceland in the South Shetland Islands . In Admiralty Bay it forms the eastern branch of Rhyolite Head between Cardozo Cove and Goulden Cove , the two branches of the Ezcurra Fjord .
Polish scientists they named in 1999 after a found here wooden barrels ( English barrel ), which apparently whalers had left at the beginning of the 20th century.
