The barrier reef anemonefish ( Amphiprion akindynos ) lives in the coral reefs of the Great Barrier Reef on the coast of northeastern Australia , near New Caledonia and the Loyalty Islands .

features

The body of the fish is brown on the flanks, the underside is orange. Two broad, white-blue horizontal stripes run across the body, the first directly behind the eye, the second beginning in the middle of the dorsal fin . The caudal fin is white. The dorsal fin has ten to eleven hard and 14 to 17 soft rays, the anal fin has two hard and 13 to 14 soft rays. Amphiprion akindynos becomes 12 to 13 centimeters long. It was bred in the aquarium.

He accepts six symbiotic anemone species as partners.
