Barry Schwartz (2009)

Barry Schwartz (born August 15, 1946 ) is an American psychologist .

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University (1968) and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (1971). He then taught at Swarthmore College (Assistant Professor 1971, Associate Professor 1976, Full Professor 1983, Dorwin Cartwright Professor 1994).

His main area of ​​interest is the paradox of choice , according to which more choices can not increase consumer benefit, but reduce it.
