history

The Bartholet company was founded by Anton Bartholet in the late 1960s . At first it was only active in the construction of second-hand systems. The first own facility was the Schönhalden group pendulum lift in Flums in 1976. In 1977, Bartholet began building its first own drag lifts near the company location. The first chairlift in the company's history was the fixed- grip two-seater chairlift Twärchamm on Flumserberg in 1981. Three years later, the company's first armchairs were produced. In addition to tow lifts, chair lifts and group commuter lifts, Bartholet built the first small cable car in Mels in 1987 . In 1996 Bartholet built his first white water slide. The company's first large aerial tramway was the Känzeli am Brambrüesch cable car in Chur in 2005. The company entered another new business area in 2006 with the construction of monorails . The first such was built in Bahrain in 2006 . In 2007, Bartholet built its first detachable cable car in the form of a sixth chairlift in Val-d'Isère in France. The couplable clamp used was not our own, but the Wopfner clamp developed by the Austrian company of the same name in 1989. In 2011 Bartholet built his only Funitel to date in Val Thorens, France . In 2014, Bartholet bought the previously independent cabin manufacturer Gangloff and thus became a full supplier for cable cars. Also with the Wopfner clamp, Bartholet built the first detachable gondola lift in the company's history on Lenzerheide in 2015 .
