Wenzeslaus Hubert Maria Clemens Freiherr von Fürstenberg-Borbeck (born December 2, 1835 in Borbeck , † May 6, 1891 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the 1st Guard Cavalry Brigade .

Life

Clemens was a son of the grand ducal Hessian chamberlain of the same name , Clemens von Fürstenberg-Borbeck (1791–1844) and his wife Antonie, nee Freiin von Weichs zur Wenne (1808–1871). Military career

Fürstenberg attended the Knight's Academy in Bedburg , then joined the 4th Cuirassier Regiment of the Prussian Army as a cuirassier on December 1, 1855 , and was promoted to second lieutenant by mid-April 1857 . On November 26, 1874, Fürstenberg was appointed President of the 6th Remonte Buying Commission under the position of his regiment à la suite .
