Droué is a French municipality with 992 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vendôme and the canton of Le Perche (until 2015: canton of Droué ). The inhabitants are called Drouésiens .
geography
Droué is about 53 kilometers north-northwest of Blois and about halfway between Orléans and Le Mans . Droué is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Fontenelle in the north and northwest, Le Poislay in the north, Boisgasson in the east, Bouffry in the south and east, La Chapelle-Vicomtesse in the south and south-west and Boursay in the west and south-west.
The Chartres – Bordeaux railway line and the Egvonne river run through the municipality .
