Renay is a French municipality with 171 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Le Perche (until 2015: canton of Selommes ) and the arrondissement of Vendôme . The inhabitants are called Renaysia .
geography
Renay is about 50 kilometers north-northwest of Blois in the Le Perche countryside . The river Réveillon runs along the southern municipal boundary . Renay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lignières in the north and north-east, La Chapelle-Enchérie in the east and south-east, Faye in the south, Rocé in the south and south-west, Saint-Firmin-des-Prés in the west and south-west and Pezou in the west and north-west.
