Villechauve is a French municipality with 276 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vendôme and is part of the canton of Montoire-sur-le-Loir (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-Longpré ). The inhabitants are called Villechauviens .
geography
Villechauve is about 29 kilometers northeast of Tours and about 25 kilometers west-northwest of Blois . Villechauve is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Amand-Longpré in the north and northeast, Villeporcher in the east, Saunay in the south and southeast, Neuville-sur-Brenne in the south and southwest and Authon in the west.
