It belongs to the arrondissement of Vendôme and is part of the canton of Montoire-sur-le-Loir (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-Longpré ). The inhabitants are called Villeporcherois .

Villeporcher is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Amand-Longpré in the north, Saint-Gourgon in the north and east, Saint-Cyr-du-Gault in the south and east, Saunay in the south and south-west and Villechauve in the west.
