The M 57 was a minesweeper of the type minesweeper 1916 of the German Imperial Navy and the Reichsmarine , which was deleted from the list of warships from December 1, 1922 and continued to be used as the living hulk K 101 Wb of the Navy in Kiel . It also fulfilled this function in the Navy until the summer of 1939. Its whereabouts are unknown

Construction and technical data

The boat was the first of its class, in 1916 laid keel was. The construction took place at the Seebeck shipyard in Geestemünde . The bunker supply of 130 tons of coal yielded a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 14 knots cruising speed. The crew numbered 40 men.
