Bartholome Konrad Karl Bärlocher

Bartholome Konrad Karl Bärlocher ( October 2, 1821 in St. Gallen - February 26, 1891 there ) was a Swiss businessman, insurance manager and entrepreneur.

Life

Bärlocher, son of the businessman Georg Andreas Bärlocher, first completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked in his father's business.

In 1856 he was a co-founder of the German-Swiss Creditbank in St. Gallen, in 1859 a co-founder and until 1891 president of the Helvetia insurance company . There he was a member from 1855 to 1880 and for a time Vice President of the Commercial Directorate. He was also a member of the large commission of the St. Gallic-Appenzell railway company and from 1854 to 1860 president of the theater stock corporation . He was also a patron of the St. Gallen Art Association .

He was married to Johanna Jacob.
