Bartina Harmina Wind

Bartina Harmina Wind (born May 30, 1891 in Rotterdam ; † 1974 ) was a Dutch Romance studies and university teacher.

life and work

Bartina Wind, daughter of the natural scientist Cornelis Harm Wind (1867–1911), studied with Marie Loke in Groningen from 1909 and received her doctorate in 1928 at the University of Amsterdam with Jean-Jacques Salverda de Grave with the work Les mots italiens introduits en français au XVIme siècle ( Deventer 1928, Utrecht 1973). From 1947 she was a private lecturer in Amsterdam, from 1953 until her retirement in 1961 professor of French at the University of Utrecht .
