The World Curling Championships the women's 1,982 (official: World Women's Curling Championship in 1982 ) was the fourth staging of the World Championships in curling of the ladies. The tournament took place from March 22nd to 27th of that year in the Swiss city of Geneva in the Patinoire des Vernets .
Denmark prevailed against the defending Swedish team in the final. The Danish women won their first world title.
A round robin tournament was played , which means that everyone competes against everyone else.
