Bartolomeo de Spina

Bartolomeo de Spina (* around 1475 in Pisa , † around 1546 in Rome ) was a Dominican inquisitor and from 1542 papal court theologian . He dealt with the witchcraft .

Life

He came from an old Pisan aristocratic family and was included in the Dominican convent ″ St. Catherine ″ entered from Pisa. He was ordained a priest in Bologna in 1502 and began his studies there the following year.
