The Barzlin ( Lower Sorbian Barclin ) is a valley elevation (Kaupe) in the Spreewald and designated as a nature reserve.

It is located north of the city of Lübbenau between the main Spree and the Burg-Lübbener Canal .

The area served as a settlement around 1000 BC. During the Iron Age , the Barzlin was surrounded by a wall and also protected by a breakwater. In the 9th century , Slavs built a castle on the Barzlin. In the 19th century there was a Vorwerk . During this time, the original earth wall was removed for the construction of the castle park of Lübbenau Castle .
