The Basissletta ( Norwegian for base level ) is a small icy level with a slight slope in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located near the south-western end of the Ahlmannryggen between the Nunatak pyramids and the mountain Stamnen .
Norwegian cartographers, who named it descriptively, mapped the plain using surveys and aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952).
