Basket (official spelling BASKET ) is a German-language basketball magazine . The subtitle is "Germany's largest basketball magazine". The editorial office is located in the Mülheim district of Cologne . Basket has been published ten times a year since 1994 and was at that time the first German magazine to be fully devoted to the sport of basketball . Basket has been the magazine in Germany officially licensed by the NBA since the second edition in 2007 and, according to its own information, was the market leader with a sold circulation of 22,428 (IVW Q3 / 2007) copies, ahead of its main competitor Five . According to the "Mediadaten 2019" from Basket, the circulation is 20,000 copies.

At the 2017 German Sports Journalist Award ceremony , the magazine was voted 3rd in the “Best Sports Magazine” category.
