Schluesselburg Manor
The Schluesselburg manor is an East Westphalian mansion and is located on the right bank of the Weser in the village of Wasserstraße in the city of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district .
history
The history of the estate is linked to the history of the former Prussian domain in Schluesselburg (with the official seat at Schluesselburg Castle ). To this domain included the location, on the right bank of the Weser Vorwerk Hühnerberg. In 1828 the Minden sanitary councilor Adolf von Möller acquired the domain and built the estate on the Vorwerk. In 1848 the two-storey, late classicist mansion and the farm buildings were built. Möller's successors were the owners of the estate until 1918. From 1918 to 1931 District Administrator Busso Bartels was the owner of the property, which he sold in 1931 to the manufacturer Gustav Windel from Bielefeld. The Schlüsselburg manor is still owned by the family, who continue to run the business.
Todays use
The property is privately owned and is not open to the public. Agriculture, livestock farming, direct marketing of asparagus and the placement of agricultural workers are carried out on the estate . Apartments, holiday flats and a large ballroom are also rented out.
